Furikake is the ultimate rice seasoning. Salty, sweet, briny, nutty, and crunchy, this Japanese pantry essential is delicious on rice (furikake rice wrapped in nori = the most satisfying anytime meal, am I right?), but it can also be added to udon noodles, soup, salad, boiled egg, popcorn and more.

And in case you're wondering, it's pronounced "foo-ree-kah-kay".
